Label DesignerBeta

Design barcode labels, merge a spreadsheet into them, and print or export. Everything stays in your browser.

What it does

Barcodes that scan

Seventeen symbologies, from Code 128 and EAN/UPC to GS1-128, QR Code, GS1 DataMatrix and Aztec. Check digits are added for you, and bad input gets a plain message.

Data merge

Load CSV, TSV, JSON or Excel (.xlsx) records, map columns to fields, and print one label per record with a quantity column. Counters, dates, prompts and formulas fill the rest.

Sheets and rolls

Avery Letter and Herma A4 sheets, and thermal roll sizes from 2 × 1 inch to 100 × 150 mm. Start a sheet partway down and check the page preview before you print.

Print and export

Print from the browser at exact page size, or export PDF, PNG, SVG, ZPL II, EPL2 and TSPL. Open a ZPL file to see the label it describes.

Share a form, work offline

Share a print-form link so someone can fill in the prompts and print, without seeing the designer. Download the whole app as one HTML file that works offline. Projects can live in Files on this device.

Privacy

Nothing is uploaded. There are no accounts. Labels, data and projects stay in this browser. Files keeps them on this device. No tracking runs unless the owner has turned it on in Settings.

What it cannot do yet

  • Not yet checked on real printer hardware. ZPL output for GS1 DataMatrix, QR positioning, ITF bearer bars and the TSPL and EPL bitmap polarity still need a printer test.
  • No direct printing from the browser to a printer. Use the PDF or ZPL output with your printer's own software.
  • UPC-E, GS1 QR, rotated QR and rectangular Data Matrix go to ZPL as graphics. They decode correctly but the output is larger, and the ^B9 output needs a printer check.
  • Text is edited in the Properties panel, not on the canvas.
  • Rotation is in 90° steps only.
  • Templates in other label software's proprietary formats are not imported.
  • Beta: the app works end to end, but it is still being tested.
