What it does
Annotate and sign
Add text, pen, highlighter, shapes, images and signatures. Draw a signature, type one, or keep a saved signature in this browser.
Forms and passwords
Fill text, checkbox, dropdown and radio fields, and keep them editable or flatten them. Open password-protected files with RC4 or AES encryption.
Redact
Mark areas by hand, or search for text, patterns and presets such as e-mail addresses and card numbers. Applying a redaction removes what is under the box from the saved file.
Compress and convert
Compress a file, export pages as PNG or JPEG, make a PDF from images, and extract the text.

PDF Editor column: "Yes" means the feature is in the app now. "No" and "Not yet" are listed honestly, with the details in the section below.
Privacy
Nothing is uploaded. There are no accounts. Your PDFs, annotations and saved signatures stay in this browser, and Files keeps files on this device. No tracking runs unless the owner has turned it on in Settings.
What it cannot do yet
- You cannot edit existing text in a PDF. Text can be added as an annotation.
- Bookmarks, outlines and tagged structure are not carried over to the saved file.
- Text added with the standard fonts cannot show characters outside the Western set (CJK, emoji); they appear as "?". The offline file also lacks some fonts, so CJK PDFs without embedded fonts may use fallback glyphs.
- Redacted pages are saved as images, so their text is no longer searchable. There is no mode that keeps the text.
- When you switch pages, the previous page can show for about 150 ms before the new one is drawn. Opening page view can also flash white for a moment. A fix is planned.
- An owner report of blank pages after adding content has not been reproduced yet. The investigation is still open.
