Many tools load one record per line: BigQuery, Elasticsearch bulk files, log pipelines and fine-tuning datasets.

How to convert
- The JSON is checked first; a mistake is reported with its line and column. Each item of the top-level array becomes one line of compact JSON.
- A JSON file that is not an array becomes a single line. The status line says how many lines were written.

Is anything lost?
No. Each item is written as it was, only without the spaces and line breaks inside it.
