CSV to Markdown table converter
Paste a table into a README, an issue or Obsidian without lining up pipes by hand.
Accepts
CSV (.csv). Other file types are not converted on this page; the File Converter hub takes every kind it knows.
How to convert
- The CSV is read with its quoting rules and the separator (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe) is detected. The first row names the columns, or untick it to get Column 1, Column 2 and so on.
- A | in a cell is escaped and a line break inside a cell becomes <br>. Columns that hold only numbers are right-aligned unless you untick it.
Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and the file is never sent to ITpris Verktyg or to any other server.
Questions
Does it work with Excel files?
Yes. An Excel or ODS file gets the route through CSV in its Convert to menu under More formats.
Can I type or paste instead of a file?
Yes. Type or paste in the box under the converter, and the preview updates as you type.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, on this device. Your files are not sent to ITpris Verktyg or to any other server.
