Scan barcodes into your inventory
Pick an action, then scan: each barcode receives, sells or counts one item (or the quantity you set). It works with any scanner that types like a keyboard, and with the camera where the browser can read barcodes.
How to do it
- Open the Scan tab and choose Keyboard or scanner, or Camera.
- Choose the action: Receive +, Sell −, Count or Look up only. Set the quantity and the location.
- Scan. The result stays on screen for two seconds and goes into the Scan log.
- For an unknown EAN, choose Create product with this EAN, or Link EAN to this product; the scan then applies.
- Made a mistake? Undo last scan reverses the newest movement.
A wrong check digit is caught and nothing is written; the page shows the digit it should have been. A code held in front of the camera counts once, so one label cannot make several movements.
Your files stay on this device: Inventory runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.
Questions
Which scanners work?
Any USB or Bluetooth scanner that types the code and presses Enter, which most do. Fast typing is marked Scanner and slow typing Typed; both work the same.
Does the phone camera work?
Camera scanning needs a browser with built-in barcode detection, which Chromium-based browsers have on some systems. Where it is missing, the camera panel says so and keyboard scanning still works.
Is the scan log kept after a reload?
The stock movements are kept. The scan log itself is in memory, so after a reload an old scan is reversed with Adjust in the Stock tab instead of Undo.
