QR Code Generator guide

Getting started with QR Code Generator

QR Code Generator makes QR codes in your browser, with a live preview. The code is made on your device and nothing is uploaded.

Open QR Code Generator

Make a code

  1. In the Content tab, give the code a name. It is used for the file names and the print page.
  2. Pick the kind of code: Plain text, URL, Email, Phone call, SMS, Wi-Fi, Contact (vCard), Location or Calendar event.
  3. Fill in the form. For Wi-Fi, that is the network name, the security type and the password.
  4. The code on the right changes as you type. Under it you see its size, the error correction level and how many bytes it holds.

Tip: Templates has ready-made forms for common codes. Raw text lets you type exactly what goes into the code.

Change the look

In the Design tab, set the Module colour and the Background colour, or tick Use a gradient. Modules switches between square and rounded modules. Quiet zone, Size (px) and Error correction are there too.

In the Logo tab, drop a picture or pick one of the built-in marks, and set the logo width. Use a higher error correction with a logo, so the code still scans.

Download and save

Click SVG or PNG under the preview to download the code, or Print page (PDF) for a page to print.

Save to Drive keeps the code and its settings in Files, so Open from Drive can edit it again later.

For many codes at once, open Batch: each line you type becomes one code with the same design, each with its own SVG and PNG download. Up to 100 lines are drawn.

Tip: Test the code with a phone before you print many copies.
