How to do it

Choose File > New… and a size (Letter, A4, Instagram, HD, Story or custom), or open an SVG.
Draw with the Pen (P), Pencil (N), Paintbrush (B), shapes, Star and Polygon, and set type with the Type tool (T).
Combine shapes with Object > Pathfinder: Unite, Minus Front, Intersect and Exclude.
Use linear and radial gradients, clipping masks and compound paths, and align with Smart Guides.
Export SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF or a PDF-compatible .ai.

Not there yet: opening .ai or PDF files, multiple artboards, text on a path and image trace. One artboard per document.

Yes. There is no plan, no account and no watermark on what you export.

Can I give my file to someone who uses Illustrator?

Yes. Export as .ai (PDF-compatible) or PDF keeps the vector paths, and SVG opens in most vector apps.

Does it save my work?

It keeps an autosave on this device and recovers it on your next visit. Save As… downloads an SVG you can open again later.

Is Vector Editor made by Adobe?
