Getting started with Gallery

Gallery is a photo library that lives in your browser. Your photos are processed on this device and never uploaded.

Open Gallery

Import photos

1. Click Import (Ctrl+O), or drop photos on the page. Import a folder… and From Files… are under Library on the left.
2. To try it, click Try it with 8 sample photos.
3. Photos show in a grid, grouped by month, newest first. Click a photo to view it large; the arrow keys step through them.

Find and organise

Under Filters, search by file name, or pick a year, month, camera or tag. Clear filters shows everything again.

Favourites, Duplicates and People are views on the left. Find duplicates… lists copies so you can remove them. New album makes an album; it links to photos and never copies them.

The Library and Drive switch above the grid shows all the files in Files instead.

Sort, reel and back up

Sort opens the swipe deck: the up arrow likes a photo, the down arrow dislikes it, and typing adds a tag.

Click Select, pick two or more photos, and click Make reel to turn them into a video in Video Editor.

Back up the whole library, under Library, saves everything to one file. Restore from a backup… brings it back on another device.
