PDF Editor guide

Organize, merge and split PDF pages

The Organize view shows every page as a thumbnail. You move, turn, copy and delete pages there, add pages from other files, and split the result into parts.

Open PDF Editor

Select pages

Click a page to select it. Shift-click selects a range, Ctrl-click (Cmd-click on a Mac) adds one page, and you can drag a box around several pages. Ctrl+A selects all of them.

The Selection part of the Organize pages panel says what is selected. With nothing selected, its buttons act on all pages.

Reorder, rotate and delete

  1. Drag a page, or a selection of pages, to a new place in the grid.
  2. From the keyboard, focus a page and press Alt and an arrow key to move it.
  3. Press R to rotate the selected pages right, or Shift+R to rotate them left.
  4. Press Delete to remove them. Duplicate (Ctrl+D) makes a copy.
  5. Under Order, Reverse flips the page order. Sort, with Apply sort, can collate front and back scans from a one-sided scanner.

Tip: Every change can be undone with Ctrl+Z.

Merge PDFs and insert pages

  1. Click Add PDFs or images in the panel, or drop more files on the grid. Their pages are added to the same document.
  2. Drag the pages into the order you want.
  3. Under Insert, choose a page size and orientation and click Blank page, or click From file… to insert another file's pages.
  4. Click Download to save everything as one PDF.

Split a PDF into parts

  1. Click Split in the rail.
  2. Choose Page ranges, Every N pages or Each page.
  3. For page ranges, type them separated by commas, such as 1-2, 3-. "8-" means page 8 to the end.
  4. Under Result, check the list of files. The grid shows which part each page goes to.
  5. Choose One .zip or Separate PDFs, then click Split & download.

Save only some pages

Select the pages and click Extract to PDF in the panel, or choose Download selected pages in the File menu. The rest of the document is not changed.
