PDF Editor · free, in your browser
Sign a PDF in your browser
Open the PDF, draw your signature with a mouse, finger or stylus (or type your name), and place it where it belongs. The signed copy downloads to your device.
How to do it
- Drop the PDF on the page, or choose Open PDFs or images in the File menu.
- In the Sign tool, choose Create signature and draw it, or type your name and pick one of the script styles.
- Choose Place signature, then drag it into position on the page and resize it.
- Add a date or your initials with the Text tool if the form asks for them.
- Choose Download to save the signed PDF.
A signature you tick Save for next time is kept in this browser only, so the next document takes one click. You can clear the saved signatures at any time from the Sign panel.
Your files stay on this device: PDF Editor runs in your browser, with no upload, no account and no watermark.
Questions
Is this a legally binding signature?
It places a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so check what the receiver accepts.
Is my signature uploaded or stored on a server?
No. The PDF and the signature stay in your browser. A saved signature is kept in this browser's storage only, and you can delete it.
Can I sign on a phone?
Yes. Draw the signature with your finger on the signature pad, then place it on the page and download the PDF.
Can I sign several pages?
Yes. Place the signature on each page that needs it; a saved signature is one click from the Sign panel.
