BMP to PNG converter
Convert old Windows bitmaps to PNG. The result is lossless and far smaller than the BMP.
How it works
The BMP is read by this browser and saved as a PNG with no loss of pixels.
Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and the converter runs entirely in your browser.
Questions
Why is the PNG smaller than the BMP?
PNG compresses the pixels without losing any. BMP is usually stored uncompressed.
Which BMP files work?
The ones your browser can decode, which covers the common 24 and 32 bit formats.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser, on this device. Files are not sent to ITpris Verktyg or to any other server.
