PNG to BMP converter
Make BMP bitmaps from PNG for older software and devices. BMP has no transparency, so you choose the background colour.
How it works
Each PNG is flattened onto the background colour you choose and written as an uncompressed 24-bit BMP.
BMP files are large. Resize the picture first if you only need a smaller one.
Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and the converter runs entirely in your browser.
Questions
Why are BMP files so large?
BMP stores every pixel uncompressed, so a 4000 by 3000 image is about 36 MB.
Does BMP keep transparency?
No. Choose the background colour that transparent areas should become.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Every conversion runs in your browser, on this device. Files are not sent to ITpris Verktyg or to any other server.
