Video to GIF converter
Make an animated GIF from a short video clip. Choose the width and the frame rate to keep the file small.
How it works
The video is read by ffmpeg.wasm, the frames are scaled and reduced to the frame rate you choose, and saved as a looping GIF.
Smaller width and lower frame rate give a smaller file.
Your files never leave this device. The video engine is downloaded once from jsDelivr the first time you convert a video, then the browser keeps it.
Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded, and the converter runs entirely in your browser.
Questions
Why is the GIF so large?
GIF keeps every frame in full colour, so long or large clips make big files. Try a narrower width or fewer frames per second.
Can I keep the sound?
No. GIF has no sound.
Are files uploaded?
No. The conversion runs on your device.
