DAE (Collada) to GLB converter

Collada files from SketchUp, older game tools or 3D Warehouse become a modern GLB.

Collada 3D model (DAE) (.dae, with its pictures). Other file types are not converted on this page.

How to convert

  1. Drop the .dae file with the texture pictures it names. They are matched by file name.
  2. Keep animations ticked to keep the animation clips.
  3. After converting, the status line gives the triangle and vertex counts, the size, and what the new format could not hold.

Your files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded: the conversion runs in your browser, and the file is never sent to ITpris Verktyg or to any other server.

Questions

Where are the textures?

A DAE file names its pictures; it does not hold them. Drop the pictures with the .dae and they are packed into the GLB.

Is the up axis fixed?

Yes. The Collada reader turns Z-up files to Y up, as glTF expects.

Are the files uploaded?

No. Reading and writing both happen in your browser.
